<作品簡介>

沿著古老的絲綢之路，尋找歷史文明的足跡，你會一次又一次地被敦煌所震撼。千年 來的美麗滯留在這裏，在大漠戈壁的蒼涼與雄渾裏，彷彿聽見古戰場金戈鐵馬的歷史 回音，讓人有種醉臥沙場的豪邁。

婺源則是另一種風貌，紅葉晨霧，白牆黛瓦，小橋流水，仿若仙境。

In the early years of my life, I served in the army and fought in battles. Then I came to work in Hong Kong and am now head of the Social Work Unit at the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government. Photography has been my favourite hobby since I was young despite not having received any formal training. Since I came to Hong Kong and met Mr Jimmy Chan and other photographers, I have had many opportunities to exchange ideas on photographic techniques with them.

Whenever I am free from my busy work schedule, I like to explore further the art of photography, and this is what I have been doing during the last thirty years or so. Nature’s beauty and spirit is what I love to express most, hence my favourite motif is landscape, and the best tool to satisfy my need for fulfillment is Leica camera. Despite all the advances in technology, I still go for traditional theories and techniques in pursuit of a genuine and simple style – to depict the unusual from the most usual phenomenon in an impromptu and natural way.

<About the photographs>

If you go along the ancient Silk Road to search for traces of history and civilization, you will be stunned again and again by Dunhuang. The beauty throughout thousands of years has been kept here – in the desolation and vigor of the Gobi Desert. We seemed to hear the echoes of weapons clinking and horses neighing in the ancient battlefield, which enable us to picture ourselves in the epic setting.

On the other hand, Wuyuan has a completely different scene – red leaves against morning mist, white walls against green tiles, small bridge over flowing river – just like paradise.
